An Opportunity to Pour
June 15, 2020 | By Charita |
Go and pour! This is what Jesus commissioned the disciples to do in Matthew 28: 19 when He said “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” from the New American Standard Bible (NASB). The key words in this scripture are “all the nations”. Jesus knew that there was a sin problem in the world and the only resolution was to help people become like Christ in character, conduct, attitudes and actions.
In light of the issues that we currently face, we must not lose sight that God has not changed His plans to redeem the lost. Dr. Henry Blackaby said it best when he stated “God has always been involved in the world to reconcile people to Himself and He takes the initiative to involve His people with Him in His work” (ref. Experiencing God by Henry and Richard Blackaby).
ALL lives really do matter in the eyes of Jesus and you and I have been given the opportunity to share the gospel to ALL. Let us not lose sight that there is a sin issue and it is our job to plant seeds into the hearts of others and allow the Holy Spirit to work on the hearts of those we witness to. If you really want to help change the lives of others for the better, then tell them about Jesus so they can also be saved.
