The Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost) is the third person of the Trinity, that is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son (Jesus). He is God’s personal and active presence in the world and within believers. He guides, comforts and empowers people for faith and service.

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” (John 14:16 (KJV)

Ushering in the Holy Spirit is important because it shifts human gatherings and personal lives from routine efforts to divine encounters. It brings spiritual power, deep peace, and transformation. Inviting God’s active presence aligns believers with supernatural guidance rather than relying on routine strength alone.

The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to act as God’s active, personal presence on Earth. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ, convicts people of sin, brings individuals to spiritual rebirth, and lives inside believers.
