God is the Living Word

May 14, 2026 | By |

God’s living word is essential because it is active, powerful, and serves as a direct divinely inspired lifeline between God and humanity. It enables salvation, spiritual growth and transformation.

The Bible can never be completely comprehended. It breathes life into dead souls. It makes a difference in our thinking, behavior and attitude. It acts as a divine scalpel, performing spiritual surgery by reaching the hidden places where our own logic cannot go. It doesn’t just inform our minds; it resuscitates our spirits, breathing life into dead souls and re-aligning our thinking, behavior and attitude with His perfect will.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart”

– Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

Holy Bible open on a stand inside a church, symbolizing faith and spirituality.

Meditating on God’s Word is like marinating in His truth—mulling over, reflecting, and dwelling on the Scriptures until they saturate our hearts. But knowledge alone is not the goal. Application of God’s living Word requires active engagement and obedience to Him.

If we merely observe the Word without applying it, we remain spiritually stagnant, missing the vital power it offers. We essentially refuse the very ‘spiritual surgery’ intended to heal us, leaving the living Word on the shelf while our hearts remain unchanged.

Real transformation requires us to move beyond hearing to active engagement with Him. When we step out in obedience to His living Word, the result is a life completely redefined. This is what I love about our ministry; it has transformed my life by showing me that God’s Word isn’t just a book—it’s alive in me.

At the S.A.L.T. Connection, we’re committed to equipping women with biblical truth, nurturing faith that endures, and creating a life-giving community where transformation takes root. We invite you to partner with us through your giving and prayers to help expand this life-changing kingdom work; cultivating lasting spiritual impact for generations to come.

Creating Space for God

March 12, 2026 | By |

I’m learning that it’s better to “calendar my priorities” than “prioritize my calendar.” When I take the time to schedule out my priorities, make space for what’s important.

Space for God means being intentional with how we spend time with Him. It involves practices like silence, solitude and scripture reading. It means pausing to take time away from work and daily demands to focus on Him.

It’s hard for many of us, but creating space for God also includes setting boundaries, serving others and creating a quiet decluttered corner for prayer and meditation.

“The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation, at the right time I the Lord will make it happen.”

– Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)

Bible God's patch

The verse above speaks volume to me. Six years ago, God connected me with the right group of women who poured into me and encouraged me to encourage others through writing.

The S.A.L.T. Connection has been and continue to be a safe space with women of great Christian faith. SA.LT meaning scripture, application, learning and teaching others is only one benefit of this ministry. We welcome community and church partnerships.

Remember when you make space for God you become the dwelling place, allowing God’s presence to transfer your life, bringing peace, wholeness and deeper connection.

God’s Relationship with Confusion: Moving from Chaos to Clarity

November 10, 2025 | By |

Let’s face it: Confusion is exhausting. It’s that messy, spinning feeling that keeps you from moving forward.

The good news? Confusion is not from God. It’s often a consequence of sin, selfish ambition, doubt, or the spiritual enemy, who is the true “author of confusion.”

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, was in all the churches of the saints

– 1 Corinthians 15:8 (ESV)

A woman in pajamas sits indoors with hands on head, showing stress and frustration. Perfect for mental health themes.

Since God provides the peace, our job is to position ourselves to receive it. Here are the practical steps to overcome confusion and receive peace and gain clarity:

  • When you are confused pray for guidance and put your hope in the Lord.
  • Read your bible and trust God’s word.
  • Focus your thoughts on things that are noble, true and good.
  • Listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit because it helps with confusion and provides a sound mind.
  • Practice obedience and wait on God.
  • Remember God’s promises; he will give you perfect peace if you keep your mind on Him.

Our ministry is the perfect place to help you gain peace and clarity. We invite you to join us for mentorship, volunteer opportunities and fellowship. Click the link below to find out more about our programs and studying God’s word. Your life will change when bonding with Sisters who will pray with you in states of confusion.

Called to Serve in Christian Life

October 20, 2025 | By |

At the heart of Christianity lies Jesus’ second greatest commandment to love one another. Service is the natural expression of this love. It is the tangible way in which believers demonstrate their commitment to God and their fellow human beings.

Service is not merely an obligation but a joyful response to God’s love. It reflects the selflessness of Jesus Christ, who came not to be served but to serve.  As Christians, we are called to emulate this example, humbly serving others without seeking recognition or reward.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

– 1 Corinthians 15:8 (ESV)

Service is not only beneficial to those being served, but also to the one who serves. Engaging in acts of kindness, mercy, and compassion cultivates a spirit of humility and empathy within the believer. It fosters a deeper understanding of human suffering and the interconnectedness of all people. Through service, Christians are transformed as they become more Christ-like in character.

For The S.A.L.T. Connection, our call to service extends beyond grand gestures or occasional acts of charity. It encompasses everyday interactions and opportunities to meet the needs of others. Will you partner with us in service to the one and only Triune God?  We invite you to serve one another in humility and love by signing up to volunteer below.

Your Responsibility in Kingdom Building

September 14, 2025 | By |

The kingdom is ultimately God’s work. Believers are called to be participants who demonstrate God’s love by sharing the Gospel and living according to His will.

We should shift our perspective and recognize that God’s kingdom is built through the faithfulness of ordinary people in their everyday lives. The importance of prioritizing God’s role in our lives and trusting in his provision is found in Matthew 6:33 (NIV).

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you.

– Matthew 6:33 (NIV)

Kingdom building is not just about intention but about putting faith into action through love, service, and sharing the Gospel. This is what The S.A.L.T. Connection Ministry is sharing in the community.

Partnerships and donations from you will help continue to spread the word of God. Click the link below to donate or partner with us in building the kingdom of God. Remember what you do for Christ will last.

God’s Invitation to Cast Your Cares

August 18, 2025 | By |

We’re all prone to anxiety and worry. Simply telling ourselves that we shouldn’t worry about a problem we’re facing won’t make it go away. It may even make things worse by keeping us from doing something about it.

The Bible gives us a specific cure for anxiety and that is to trust God and turn our worries and anxieties over to Him. In God’s word, I Peter 5:7 (NIV) encourages believers to “cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” This verse emphasizes God’s concern for us and invites us to unload our worries onto Him.

Our programs aim to help women in the community to deepen their understanding of God’s Word and apply it to their daily lives. We pour into women by teaching them and reminding them that nothing is too hard for God.

North Texas Giving Day is happening in September, and we are asking you to be a supporting partner by helping us to continue sharing God’s Word in the community.

Why We Need More Quality Time with God

July 14, 2025 | By |

Today, we are all busy doing everything but spending time with God. We’re rushing off to work, taking care of our families, traveling and celebrating with others. Life is continuously throwing us curve balls that cause us to spiral and lose focus on spiritual things.

God wants to be included with everything that’s going on in our lives.

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him, fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.”

– Psalm 37:7 (NIV)

To spend quality time with God means to take intentional time out of your day to come before God through prayer. This is one of our main program foundational principles we teach at The S.A.L.T. Connection.

Remember spending quality time with God brings you into alignment with His plan for living joyfully. As we expand our ministry, we ask that you support our programs which will in turn help our students get to know him better.

Partnering and Making a Difference in Your Community

June 16, 2025 | By |

We all crave belonging and being involved in our communities. Truthfully, we need to trust, depend and rely on each other in our Christian walks

God gave us each other to walk alongside, encourage, and pour love into one another. We should carry each other’s burdens, care for each other’s practical needs, warn each other of sin, and rejoice with each other.

A group of adults in a warm atmosphere celebrating teamwork with a high-five gesture.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

– Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV)

It’s important in a biblical community to have other Christian followers to help us stay focused on God. We have expanded The S.A.L.T. Connection program in the community by partnering with churches and other non-profit organizations such as:

  • First Christian Church (Allen, TX)
  • New Hope Christian Church Fellowship (Denison, TX)
  • Real Options (Allen, TX)
  • Jim Riley Outreach (Plano, TX)
  • Healing Thine Hearts (Plano, TX)

Pain and Forgiveness: How to Apply God’s Word to Release Negative Emotions

May 12, 2025 | By |

The act of forgiving does not come easy, for most of us it can be painful. Our fleshly instinct is to recoil in self-protection when we’ve been hurt. We don’t naturally overflow with mercy, grace and understanding when we’ve been wronged.

Due to our inherent sinful nature, it’s critical as believers in Christ to gain a better understanding and remind yourself what the Bible has to say about forgiveness.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

– Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

One of the things I’ve learned in my S.A.L.T. Connection ministry studies is how important it is to forgive others and myself. By studying God’s Word and applying it in my life in the area of forgiveness; my burdens are becoming lighter as I cast all my cares to God.

If you struggle with forgiveness, you too can learn how to apply God’s Word to your life to overcome this pain. Remember, forgiveness is not the same as forgetting or condoning the hurt. It’s about releasing negative emotions and choosing to move forward, even if you still have valid reasons to feel hurt.

Will You Be S.A.L.T.?

April 11, 2025 | By |

Salt is used as a preservative to save meat and food from spoiling, as Jesus saves our souls from sin, death and hell. As a servant of Christ, you voluntarily set aside your personal rights in order to love, serve and obey the will of God.

In joining one of The S.A.L.T.  Connection programs, you will be making a commitment to God to continuously study His word, apply it in your life and share with others. As an active participant of The S.A.L.T. Connection, I chose to serve God by pouring back into the program after graduating from the nine-month session in 2020.

I’m not perfect; however, daily I seek Him, meditate on His word and share His word with others. There’s nothing better than an intimate relationship with Jesus.

A young woman in a plaid shirt holds a Holy Bible close with a cross necklace visible.
  • Do you desire to help preserve the world, just as salt preserves food?
  • Are you willing to be a positive and godly influential force, which can add flavor and goodness?
  • Will you be S.A.L.T. by committing your time and enrolling in one of the two programs offered through our organization?

If so, please click on the link to enroll. God will bless you for your obedience!
